Basic characteristics:Changfeng Ecology Business District was a famous old industrial area, witnessing the glory of national industry. By 1990s, the original industrial area had suffered from traffic congestion, serious water pollution, uneven roads, and harsh ecological and living environment. Through more than a decade of development and construction, Changfeng Ecology Business District has been successfully transformed from the old and dilapidated industrial area into a headquarter-style modern service industry cluster area, featuring "beautiful ecological environment, distinctive cultural characteristics, outstanding functions and enterprise cluster". It has achieved the overall transformation from a district of heavy industry into a modern service industry cluster, and from "dead area" of Suzhou River to "hot land" for investment. It promoted the upgrade and transformation of regional economy and social development, as well as a leap-forward development, and thus it is hailed as a model of "successful transformation in Shanghai old industrial area".
In the future, Changfeng Ecology Business District will strive to build a core activity center featuring "humanistic ecology, innovation and vitality, excellent quality, perfect function, and unique charm".
