Basic characteristics:Gucun Park, located to the north of S20 Outer Ring Expressway of Baoshan District, covers an area of about 4.3 square kilometers. It is the largest suburban forest park, with such functions as ecological protection, sightseeing, leisure & fitness, entertainment, and tourism. The park is built in two phases. The water system, wetlands, plant community and pastoral scenery in the park interact with each other, creating the ecological environment where man live in perfect harmony with nature. After the completion of the park, efforts will be made to create the landscape of "glorious flowers in spring and solid fruits in autumn", and the brand of "enjoying flowers in four seasons", allowing citizens to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossom in spring, lotus in summer, osmanthus in autumn and plum blossom in winter. The annual "Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival" makes it a well-known flower viewing resort. The construction of the park accelerates the transformation and development of Shanghai, improves the ecological environment in Baoshan District, and makes Shanghai a more livable city.
