Basic characteristics:Ecological network construction project in Jiading new town center area aimed to build a resource-saving, environment-friendly and harmonious district. It emphasized the "people-oriented" idea, respected the layout of Yangtze River Delta, focused on low-carbon, low-impact development and ecological technology investment, and broke the traditional urban functional zoning. After more than a decade of development, an ecological network system featuring organic combination of green space, water system and roads gradually took shape. At the same time, the innovation city renewed its construction and management model, established the specialized agencies, introduced the corresponding supporting methods, strictly implemented regional detailed planning, and effectively clarified functions of government management and construction agencies. In this way, it well protected the project policy and financial sustainability of the ecological network and embarked on a new path of "natural harmony and entrepreneurial innovation".
