Basic characteristics:Ecological restoration project of Laogang solid waste comprehensive utilization base was the first domestic demonstration project featuring largest area and toughest land conditions. It included landfill restoration and coastal new land area, wind and salt alkali large area afforestation. It built a total of 7,683 acres of public welfare forest, and 10 square kilometers of base green area.
This project upheld the idea of circular economy. It, through construction of public welfare forest, restored the pollution soil in landfill, realized cyclic utilization of waste land and resolved the problem of site selection of waste treatment facility. The ozone nuisance problem significantly improved, and the ecological environment of the surrounding areas effectively enhanced, the operational safety of the super-large cities was ensured. The project would undoubtedly become a model for landfill ecological restoration and afforestation in coastal special condition sites, and living environment improvement.
